European Movement in Serbia as an Incubator for
Non-Governmental Organizations

Civil society development, a notion which is equally connected to both a free individual and the most collective actor of civil society – the non-governmental organization – is one of EMinS’s priorities. Various pro-reform initiatives which we supported ideologically, logistically or materially are today independent organizations and irreplaceable actors in the not-for-profit sector in Serbia. Some of those organizations are:

  • Alliance for Local Communities’ Sustainable Development
  • Association of Business Women
  • Victimology Society
  • Young European Federalists
  • Transparency Serbia
  • Initiative Group Alpbah
  • Union for Qualitative Life
  • Women’s Government
  • CIVIS – Association of non-governmental organization in South East Europe etc

Additionally, the European Movement acts as an umbrella organization which, through the institution of collective membership, gathers and synchronizes the work of non-governmental organizations with pro-European character.

By the decisions of the Executive Board, the following organizations have been awarded the status of collective members:

  • Generation 21
  • First European House – Cukarica
  • European Vojvodina
  • Junior Achievement Serbia
  • Association of Business Women
  • Young European Federalists
  • Initiative Group Alpbah

Today, EMinS is a leader in terms of its project management and technical capacities, and research and development expertise. The organization is also an implementing partner with a great reputation in development programs. Its member network has been expending, gathering all pro-European individuals and organizations who devote their time and energy to the benefit of Serbia’s accession to the European family of peoples.

Most of the collective members deal with different aspects of development and the status of young people in Serbia which is the result of EMinS’s strategic goals – education of future generations which will lead Serbia into European Union.
