Numerous activities are organized by EminS each Europe Day – 9th of May .

Europe Day has been celebrated in the EU since 1985. Alongside the national anthem ("Ode to Joy") and the flag, Europe Day is one of the three symbols of the EU. Many celebrations are organized on this day, bringing Europe closer to its citizens and nations closer to each other.

The European Union has declared 2010 as the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. The main goal of this project was to raise awareness among European citizens on this matter through various activities, on both international and national levels, and to increase political commitment and activities in the European Union and its member states in the fight against poverty and social exclusion.

Year 2009 was the year of creativity and innovation, which highlighted the importance and necessity for investments in innovations and the development of science and technology. The Year of Intercultural Dialogue, 2008, was focused on respecting cultural differences, as the foundation of common values.

The European Movement in Serbia organized numerous debates, such as the quizzes about the EU, in cooperation with the television channel B92, and street activities in more than 20 towns in Serbia. The plaque "The Contribution to the Year Award" is traditionally presented during the celebration of Europe Day.

The implementation of all activities related to Europe Day was supported by the European Movement International, the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria. Thank to the support of the EU member states’ embassies, the participants at the TV quiz show won many valuable prizes.
