OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE SIXTH GENERATION OF THE PROGRAM SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE – BECOME A MENTOR

In the Framework of the program “Share Your Knowledge – Become a Mentor” the Embassy of the United States of America in Belgrade, ERSTE bank, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the European Movement in Serbia opened call for application for the 6th time in a row for young women. We invite young women who have a minimum six months of relevant professional experience (volunteering, internships, employment, etc.) from the territory of the Republic of Serbia to apply. 

Mentoring is widely promoted model on international level and it is successfully implemented in several countries. Considering our setting and social conditions the model has been adjusted for the target group in the Republic of Serbia.

The goal of the project “Share Your Knowledge – Become a Mentor” is to bring together leading expert and successful women from different professions to share their knowledge and experience with young women with similar interests eager to become successful in their field of work at the beginning of their career. The program provides special support for young entrepreneurs in agriculture and Roma women. It is aimed at helping creation of opportunities for these women to develop their careers and create healthy foundations for future long-term cooperation.Mentees will be paired with mentors in accordance with their professional orientation and interests.


Through participation in the mentoring program you can strengthen your networking skills, learn more ways to use the experience you already have and get new tips and advices how to develop your career further or be successful at job market and job interviews, get helpful advices how to apply for competitions trainings and similar programs, or discover opportunities for further improvement and possibilities of international exchange.

The program will be implemented from January to July 2016. Selected mentoring couples will keep in contact, exchange experience and meet occasionally. Furthermore, it is planned to organize two round tables where all participants of the program will exchange their opinions and talk about different topics, three workshops with the target to empower the participants of the program, as well as two public debates which will be held outside Belgrade.

Closing event will be the Mentoring Walk, traditionally organized in the middle of November taking the participants of the program for a walk while sharing experience and impressions of the program to finally being awarded with certificates.
