Forum of international relations, European movement in Serbia and Fridrich Ebert foundation, have organized promotion of the third issues of Foreign policy papers "Future of EU and Western Balkan - View from Serbia". The speakers on the event were experts from the area of European integrations, economy and international relations. 

THE WB6 ADVOCACY GROUP WEB PORTAL LAUNCHED

The Western Balkan 6 (WB6) Advocacy Group which was established on September 29, 2016, launched today the web portal wb6.info in English in order to better communicate with its target groups and interested public. Civil society organizations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia led by the European Movement in Serbia have initiated the forming of this group to facilitate and accelerate the accession of the entire region to the European Union.

IGNORANCE AND LACK OF INFORMATION ARE THE GREATEST ENEMIES OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATIONS

On Monday, 17th October at the Municipal Hall in Sremska Mitrovica, was held first public debate on the "I have a right to know about EU" conducted by the Network of European Movement in Serbia with the support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in Serbia. Public debate titled "The Future EU - challenges that Europe faces in the context of European integration of Serbia" gathered a large audience, and most of them were young people active in youth organizations and the Office for Youth.

The discussions within 25 panels of the Belgrade Security Forum have identified that politics led by fear and populism represent a main threat to democracies, and an engine perpetuating the global disorder. The times are changing and the business as usual must be discontinued in Europe.

Presentation of the Second Issue of the Foreign Policy Papers under title “Serbia on the migrants’ route- humanitarian response and legislative adjustments” was held on the October 7, 2016. in Belgrade. The event was organized by Forum for International Relations of European Movement in Serbia alongside with Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Participants were local and foreign experts in field of law, international relations and regional politics and sociology. 

OPEN CALL FOR MENTEES FOR NEW GENERATION OF THE PROGRAM ,,Share your knowledge- Become a mentor”

The applications for the Program ,,Share your knowledge- Become a mentor” have been opened. This is the seventh year in a row that this program is organized for a new generation of mentees. The program is organized by the Embassy of the United States in Belgrade, Erste Bank and Organization for European security and cooperation and European Movement is Serbia.


We encourage applying all young women with the minimum of six months of relevant professional experience (volunteering, work relation etc.), living on the territory of Republic of Serbia. The program gives special support to young entrepreneurs in the field of agriculture and women of the Gypsy nationality. 

SERBIAN AND ALBANIAN STUDENTS ATTENDING EUROPEAN ACADEMY IN TIRANA

Serbian and Albanian students have participated in the European Academy organized in Tirana from 26 to 28 of September, as part of the Joint Center for Albania – Serbia Relations. Seven students from Serbia and the same number of students from Albania attended a series of lectures in the framework of the European Academy with presentations by local and international experts.

WESTERN BALKAN CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS JOINTLY ADVOCATING ACCESSION TO THE EU

A Western Balkan 6 (WB6) Advocacy Group was established at a meeting hosted by the European Movement in Serbia, in Belgrade, on 29 September 2016. CSOs from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia have initiated the forming of this group to facilitate and accelerate the accession of the entire region to the European Union.

BREXIT – DEALING WITH THE AFTERMATH

As a UK citizen who lives just south of the bustling capital city of London – I was, in particular, subjected to the heavy propaganda, scaremongering and wild claims made by both sides of this widely publicized referendum which still has politicians scrambling and just under half of the nation fuming. Due to my Italian heritage and beliefs secured firmly within multiculturalism, I personally fell on the ‘Remain’ side of this political civil war. Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson can shout all the thinly veiled xenophobic remarks they like – but no opinion could influence me more than my own mother’s!
