ONLINE PROFILES ARE BECOMING AN IMPORTANT PART OF PUBLIC APPEARANCE

Workshop was managed by Ms. Jelena Vasilev from the communication sector and Ms. Andrea Brbaklić, director of the sector of communications and human resources in Erste bank. 

TRAVELING TO EUROPE 2016

European Movement of Serbia, in cooperation with the Robert Bosh Foundation as well as the Balkan Fund for Democracy, has organized the project “Traveling to Europe”. The project, started in 2005, has given 1410 Serbian students the opportunity to explore Europe for the first time. Students get to see the most beautiful European cities and also become acquainted with European culture and values first-hand.

REGULAR DIALOG FOR BETTER RELATIONS WITH ALBANIA

Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia and Fridrich Ebert Foundation organized the international conference “Serbia and Albania – Towards European Future” in Belgrade on 17th of May, 2016. The conference gathered around 100 representatives from state institutions, regional organizations, diplomatic corps, civil society, media, as well as interested public.

Forum for International Relations and Network of the European Movement in Serbia, organized a public debate in Kruševac on Thursday, May 12, 2016, on the topic “Adjusting Serbian Economy to the EU’s Single Market – Relevance for the Local Companies." The public debate was organized within the project "Forum hosted" in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and brought together representatives of local institutions, business, civil society, academia and others.

POTENTIAL OF WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR SERBIA

The second public event in the framework of the program "Share your knowledge - become a mentor 2015/2016" on the topic "Women’s Entrepreneurship" was held on Saturday May 7, 2016 in Bački Petrovac.

On the topic of women's entrepreneurship, as well as of their professional and personal experiences spoke: Aleksandra Vladisavljević, owner of the company BIZZ, Biljana Planić, owner of a travel agency Atos from Kragujevac, Milica Čalija, co-owner of the company Angels cakes, and Nataša Haska, co-owner of the restaurant Cassablanca – Lira in Kulpin, a debate was moderated by Jana Zabunov, director of the Academy of female entrepreneurship.

THIRD PLENARY SESSION OF THE NATIONAL CONVENTION ON THE EU

National Convention on the European Union (NCEU) is marking two years of its work with organizing the third annual Plenary Session and the House of the National Assembly of the republic of Serbia, on Wednesday April 27th 2016.

Plenary Session will be opportunity to publicise the results of it works and recommendations for negotiations as a results of Working groups for last year. The Book of Recommendations of the NCEU, also will be presented on this Plenary Session. That also will be an opportunity for key actors in the process of European integration to meet each other and to talk about next steps and to present plans for the next stage of negotiations as well as seeing the possible challenges after the elections. 

WOMEN AS AN UNUSED POTENTIAL IN ICT SECTOR

The first round table about the topic “Woman in the IT sector” was held on Sunday April 23rd 2016. It gave the opportunity for young women to hear more about the challenges and obstacles women in the IT sector are facing. 

The discussion was moderated by Ms. Jelena Vasilev, communication sector Erste Bank Serbia. Professional and personal stories were presented by Ms. Dragana Petković, the founder and partner in organization StartIt, Ms. Jelena Planojević Sologub, co-owner and manager Zesium mobile for Novi Sad, Ms. Milana Milošević, software engineer and PhD candidate at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and Ms. Bojana Borković, co-founder and sales manager at Strawberry Energy.

Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia and the Network European Movement in Serbia , organised on Thursday, April 21, 2016, a public debate in Subotica on the topic "Migration policy of the European Union and the consequences for Serbia."

The public debate was organized within the project "Forum hosted" in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and brought together representatives of local institutions, business, civil society, academia and others. On behalf of the Foundation, the project coordinator, Ivana Račić, at the beginning of the meeting welcomed all that were present.

MEETING OF NEGOTIATING TEAM FOR ACCESSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA TO THE EU AND THE NCEU PROGRAM COUNCIL

Negotiating Team for Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union and Program council NCEU which gathers coordinators of all working groups had the first joint meeting in 2016.

Tanja Miščević, head of the Negotiating Team for negotiations with the EU said that evaluation of the European Commission on the Chapter 32 Financial Control, which was opened in December last year, is positive. She also said that the second opened chapter, Chapter 35 Other questions, will rewiev at July. Situation with other chapters is also positive. 

FROM REFUGEE CRISIS TO JOINT EUROPEAN MIGRATION POLICY

Youth Forum of the European Movement in Serbia in cooperation with the EU Info Centre Belgrade organized a debate titled "The EU response to the refugee crisis - Perspectives of young people" on Thursday, April 12th 2016.  The aim of the debate was to present the young poeple of Serbia with the challenges that their peers face in exile, as well as to  raise awareness about the significances and consequences of current developments to Europe and Serbia.
