TRAINING FOR MEDIA ON ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF EU ACCESSION OF SERBIA

The European Movement in Serbia is organizing training for representatives of media titled "Economic Aspects of Serbia's Accession to the European Union". The training is intended for editors and journalists of redactions and it will present and explain the most important economic aspects of the process of Serbia's accession to the European Union.

 

Special attention will be paid to the two most important EU policies when it comes to budgetary issues: Common Agricultural Policy and Cohesion Policy that offers significant opportunities and instruments to EU member states.

 

Lecturers with extensive civil service experience and expertise in the areas of European integration will talk about the economic criteria for accession and concept of single market, give a brief overview of international agreements and international economic relations of Serbia, and consider the position of state aid and competition in the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the EU membership.

 

The training will be organized on Friday, September 8th, in the Small Hall of the Media Center, Terazije 3, Belgrade.

 

The training is organized for 15 participants that will be selected by the order of applications, and online registration is open until Friday, September 1, 2017.

 

 

 

The training is organized within the project "Europe for Me", implemented by the European Movement in Serbia with partners and with the support of the Delegation of the European Union, with the idea to launch public discussions on topics important for Serbia in the process of European integration and provide citizens with reliable and useful information .
